FAQ: Payments through PayPal and Venmo

iMentor uses Paypal or Venmo to send money. They are among the most widely used methods for sending or receiving money electronically, and can be used at hundreds of vendors.

How do I sign up for PayPal?

You need a phone number and email address to sign up for PayPal. After you've signed up, you can immediately start using your account once it's been funded to either send money or request a check. To use PayPal to purchase things through a vendor, you will also need to link a debit card, credit card, or bank account.

How do I sign up for Venmo?

You need a phone number, email address, and bank account information to sign up.

I think I'm supposed to get money. When will I get it?

You'll receive your money within two weeks, or sooner, depending on when you submitted your payment information. Each week, the cutoff for submitting payment information is on Thursday, and money is sent out on Wednesdays. If you miss the cutoff, your payment will get picked up in the next cycle of payments.

Also, for Venmo, you you will need to login into your account and accept the funds.
