College Transition (Phase One)

In this phase, you and your mentee will continue to build and fortify your mentoring relationship.  After high school, there are no weekly classes to ensure regular, scheduled messaging and this may result in a drop off in communication between you.  It is important that you collaborate with your mentee to establish new patterns of communication that make sense for your relationship.  Work toward being a constant and reliable presence as your mentee establishes themselves in their new life context.  Make sure you are checking in with your mentee regarding their progress towards completing the steps necessary to enroll in the fall and reach out to program staff if they need support.
