You and your mentee will identify the key components of match and fit so that you can research and select post-secondary pathways that are strong options for your mentee. An emphasis will be placed on academic match to ensure that students are not under-matching and on diversity as a fit factor. You will work together to create a list of 5-10 post-secondary options. |

- Read the Mentor Guide to Fit Factors and explore questions you can ask your mentee to reflect on them.
- Read the Mentor Guide to Researching Post-Secondary Pathways to learn more about the research you will do with your mentee.
- Watch this "Mentee Moments" video and listen to students talk about which fit factors were most important to them when exploring post-secondary options.
- Complete two short, self-directed mentor training module called "Diversity as a Fit Factor" and "Building Your Relationship Through Post-Secondary Research" (See guidance below for accessing this module through the iMentor Platform)
